excerpt about Cloudy the sled dog:

The chain was still sticking out of the stump pile so I gently pulled out Snoopy. She struggled to try to get back in and then we heard the sound of puppies’ squealing. The opening in the stump pile was very small so I asked 5 year old Adinda if she would crawl in to get the puppies. She put on a headlamp and crawled in and said -”There are 5 puppies.” I asked her to carefully bring them out one at a time so she did. We put them in the whelping house with fresh straw and I staked down the chain with a much bigger stake.

There were 2 males and 3 females. Two were pure white, a male and a female and three had the typical husky gray and white, a male and 2 females. Adinda & Josh promptly named the white female Cloudy. And that is how she entered the world.
