In-Studio Book Formatting Specialist

Job ID: 40348016

Budget: $50 – $0 USD

I have a steady stream of manuscripts that need to be turned into polished, press-ready interiors for both Kindle and print editions, all handled on-site in my Brooklyn studio. Every title follows a single, consistent visual standard, but you’ll handle full text and image layout—flowing chapters cleanly, placing photos, charts, and illustrations where needed, and fine-tuning typography so everything looks crisp in paperback and equally sharp on e-readers.

I’ll supply raw Word docs, images, and style guidelines; you’ll transform them into print-ready PDFs and Kindle-ready files (ePub or KPF). You’ll also manage final uploads and proofs on KDP and our offset printer, catching any glitches before we hit publish.

This can be a full-time role or a part-time arrangement if you prefer—either way, regular in-person collaboration is essential, so you should be comfortable working from the studio several days a week. Familiarity with InDesign, Affinity Publisher, Kindle Create, or comparable tools is a plus, but solid book-layout experience and a meticulous eye are what matter most.

Deliverables for each book:
• Press-quality interior PDF for print
• Fully tested Kindle file
• Source files with linked images neatly organized

If you’re ready to jump in and keep the production line moving smoothly, let’s talk.
