Softcover & Hardcover Book Formatting -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a finished a children's book that already includes hand-drawn illustrations. Now I’m ready to turn it into polished softcover and hardcover editions for self-publishing, and I’m looking for expert help with the print layout.
The text and art are complete—the illustrations should stay exactly as they are (which includes the cover)—so the focus is on setting up trim size, margins, bleeds, page numbers, running headers, and a clean, consistent style that works equally well in both bindings. I need print-ready files that meet the usual POD requirements (embedded fonts, correct color space, proper spine width, etc.) and look professional when they come off the press.
Deliverables
• Cover + Interior PDF for the softcover edition
• Cover + Interior PDF for the hardcover edition
• Source file (InDesign or equivalent) in case small tweaks are needed later
I’ll supply the current manuscript file and any specs you need as soon as we start. Let me know your preferred software and a brief outline of your approach, and we can get this book into readers’ hands.
