Reformat Two Kindle Picture Books (Hard Copy)
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have two full-colour children’s picture books—“Poodles, Tigers, Monsters & You” (64 pages) and “The Tickle Tree” (58 pages)—already on Amazon Kindle, but the conversion done through Wix distorted the layout. I’ve removed nothing yet; instead, I want fresh, professional Kindle hard copy editions created and then uploaded in place of the current files.
Source files are high-resolution PDFs. The artwork stays exactly as it is; the only thing that must change is the page design so each spread mirrors the printed version. I am aiming for a fixed-layout Kindle format that:
• preserves full-bleed illustrations and text placement
• displays crisply on Fire tablets and the Kindle app (iOS, Android, desktop)
• passes Kindle Previewer with no errors or compression artifacts
Deliverables
1. Re-laid-out, fixed-layout EPUB/KPF files for both titles, ready for KDP upload
2. Thumbnail cover images that meet current KDP sizing rules
3. Step-by-step notes (or short Loom video) showing exactly how you replaced the existing editions so I can replicate the process for future updates
Acceptance
I’ll consider the job complete once the new files are live on my KDP dashboard, previews match the print books page for page, and no Q&A warnings appear in the KDP quality report.
Kindle Kids’ Book Creator, InDesign, Affinity Publisher, or comparable tools are fine so long as the outcome is flawless. If you need any original art assets beyond the PDFs, let me know and I’ll supply them.
