Project Overview
I have written and designed a book which is already largely completed in typeset format. The manuscript is approximately 180 pages and includes text, structured sections, and images which I have permission to use.
The content is finished. I am now looking for a professional designer/typesetter to refine the layout and prepare the final publish-ready version.
This is not a writing or editing project. It is a layout, formatting, and design refinement project.
What I Need Help With
I would like a designer to:
• Refine and tighten the overall page layout
• Ensure consistent typography and spacing throughout the book
• Improve visual balance and readability
• Position and format images correctly within the text
• Standardise headings, chapter titles, and section breaks
• Check margins, page flow, and alignment
• Format page numbers, headers, and chapter structure
• Prepare final files suitable for publishing/printing
Materials I Will Provide
• Full manuscript (approx 180 pages)
• Current typeset/layout version
• All images with permission to use
• Any branding or style direction required
Deliverables
I would like the freelancer to deliver:
• A clean, professionally formatted book layout
• Final files suitable for publishing (PDF print-ready)
• Editable source file (e.g. InDesign / Canva / Affinity Publisher / similar)
• Any font or layout notes if relevant
Style
The layout should be:
• Professional
• Clean and readable
• Suitable for a published non-fiction book

The majority of the work is already done. This project is about tightening, refining, and preparing the final production-ready version.
