Preschool Counting Story Writer

I’m putting together an educational picture-book aimed squarely at preschoolers (ages 3-5) that introduces Numbers and Counting in a fun, memorable way. I already have the visual style in mind; what I need now is a warm, imaginative storyteller to craft the manuscript itself.

Here’s the core of the job:

• Build a simple, engaging narrative that naturally weaves counting concepts from 1–10 into the plot.
• Keep language age-appropriate, rhythmic, and read-aloud friendly so parents and teachers can share it with little listeners.
• Ensure each number moment invites clear illustration cues (e.g., “five fluttering butterflies”) without dictating the art.
• Wrap everything in a positive tone that excites curiosity and reinforces confidence with every turn of the page.

Deliverable
A polished manuscript in Word or Google Docs, ready for hand-off to an illustrator and layout designer. It should include a short author’s note suggesting any helpful pacing or page breaks, but leave room for creative illustration interpretation.
