Polished Amazon KDP Book Design

Job ID: 39944007

Budget: €250 – €750 EUR

My fiction manuscript is complete—I now need a visual presentation that will look flawless on Amazon KDP in both paperback and Kindle formats. I’m after a minimalist cover that still feels dark and mysterious, extending across the front, spine, and back. Alongside the cover wrap, I also require a clean, reader-friendly interior layout.

Here’s the work I need from you:
• Design a minimalist, dark-toned cover (front, spine, back) sized precisely to my final trim and page count
.
• Supply the ebook version of that cover as a high-resolution JPEG accepted by KDP.

• Format the interior for paperback (print-ready PDF) with consistent typography, headers, page numbers, and scene breaks.

• Convert the interior to a reflowable Kindle file (ePub or KPF) that passes KDP validation.

• Provide all source files (InDesign, Affinity Publisher, or similar) plus final production files so I can update in the future.

1. Full Cover Design
Front cover, spine, and back cover for the paperback edition.
Proper formatting according to KDP print specifications (trim size, bleed, margins, barcode area, etc.).
Final files delivered as PDF for print and JPG for eBook cover.
The cover should look professional, visually balanced, and aligned with the tone and theme of the book.

2. Interior Layout & Formatting
Formatting of the book’s interior for both paperback (PDF) and eBook (EPUB or Word) versions.
Consistent typography, spacing, and paragraph styling according to publishing standards.
Properly formatted table of contents, chapter titles, page numbers, and front/back matter.
I already have the written manuscript ready, but I might need guidance on details like margins, fonts, or image placement.

3. Expert Guidance
I’d appreciate your advice on any technical or aesthetic aspects I might be overlooking (file types, metadata, bleed size, etc.).
I’m open to creative suggestions for typography and overall layout style.

I’ll share the exact trim size, page count, blurb, and any branding elements as soon as we start. Please let me know what software you prefer, a brief outline of your process, and a link to previous KDP titles you’ve prepared in a similar minimalist style.
