Modern Yearbook Template Designer
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m commissioning the full layout plan for a modern-style yearbook and need an experienced book designer who can think like an editor as well as a layout artist. The project starts with building a clean, grid-based master that can carry three main content types—student profiles, event highlights, and awards & recognitions—while still feeling consistent and fresh from cover to closing page. You will be responsible for creating the templates thge pages in the book will follow and making sure they are in line with the books overall design.
Your job is to:
• Establish the underlying grid and typographic scale in InDesign (or equivalent), including margins, columns, baseline grid, and paragraph/character styles.
• Create master pages and sample spreads for each content type, complete with lorem-ipsum placeholders so my team can drop in final copy and images without breaking rhythm.
• Suggest or supply a brief style guide that explains the grid logic, heading hierarchy, and image treatments so future contributors stay on brand.
The yearbook will ultimately be printed, so every template needs to be set up in CMYK, 300 dpi, with bleed and slug areas defined. If you’re used to pre-flight checks and making sure page counts stay signature-friendly, even better.
I’ll provide overall pagination, rough copy flow, and image assets once the framework is approved. If you’ve handled magazine or catalogue work before, this will feel familiar—tight grids, modular blocks, and strong visual pacing are what I’m after. Show me examples of editorial projects where you owned both the creative concept and the production-ready files, and let’s get this rolling.
No Bid Holders and must have proven expereince in a similiar role with a book
