JOB DESCRIPTION

I am a published author preparing two nonfiction/memoir-style manuscripts for print publication (Amazon KDP, black & white interior).

I already have all of my photographs. I need a professional who can:
PHOTO ENHANCEMENT
• Professionally refine and enhance existing black & white photographs
• Adjust contrast, tonal range, clarity, and sharpness
• Remove grain/noise and minor imperfections
• Ensure photos reproduce beautifully in black & white print
• Deliver final images at 300 dpi minimum (print-ready resolution)
• Provide TIFF or high-resolution JPEG files

BOOK INTERIOR LAYOUT
• Insert photographs at the end of designated chapters
• Ensure proper sizing, margins, and consistent placement
• Format manuscript interior for Amazon KDP (8.5 x 11 trim size, black & white interior)
• Deliver final print-ready PDF compliant with KDP specifications
• Provide source file (InDesign preferred, but not required)

Ideal CANDIDATE
• Experience with black & white photo retouching for print
• Experience designing book interiors (memoir or nonfiction preferred)
• Strong understanding of how photos reproduce on KDP paper
• Attention to detail and consistency

• Your rate per photo for retouching
