Illustrated Book Layout & Cover Design for Amazon KDP (Editorial Designer)

I am an author and visual artist preparing the publication of my first illustrated literary novel

am looking for an experienced editorial / book designer to prepare an illustrated novella for Amazon KDP print.

The project includes:
• Interior book layout
• Professional typography and page design
• Integration of approximately 20–25 illustrations within the text
• Cover design (front, spine, back)
• Preparing print-ready PDFs fully compliant with Amazon KDP specifications

The book will be a print edition (not ebook at this stage).

The designer should ensure:
• Balanced placement of text and images
• Clean typographic hierarchy
• Correct trim size, margins, bleed and spine calculations
• A professional and elegant result suitable for publication

Deliverables:
• Print-ready interior PDF for Amazon KDP
• Print-ready full cover (front + spine + back)
• Guidance for the final upload to Amazon KDP if needed

Requirements:
• Strong experience with Adobe InDesign and editorial book layout
• Previous experience preparing books for Amazon KDP or print publishing
• Ability to integrate illustrations smoothly within narrative text
