Educational Non-Fiction Book Design
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I have a previously published book of 2021 edition. I wish to publish.a 2026 edition with some additions. It has to be a polished educational book for the general public and I need an experienced book designer to make that happen. The project covers both interior layout and cover work, taking the text from a clean Word document all the way to press-ready PDFs (and, ideally, an EPUB version for digital distribution).
Interior: the manuscript runs just under 4,000 words and includes a handful of pictures. Following need to be added:
1. Call out boxes
2. Consistent styling.
I’d like a modern, highly readable layout, with thoughtful typography and a hierarchy that guides readers through key concepts without crowding the page. Adobe InDesign or an equivalent professional tool is expected so revisions stay simple and industry standards are met.
Cover: I have a working title and a short subtitle. Beyond that I’m open to creative direction, provided the cover feels approachable to a broad audience and stands out in online thumbnails. Stock imagery or simple illustrations are both possibilities; we can decide together what best suits the message.
Deliverables:
• Print-ready interior PDF (trim size: 6"×9", CMYK, embedded fonts)
• High-resolution paperback cover PDF with spine and bleed calculated from final page count
• Editable source files (INDD + linked assets)
• Optional: reflowable EPUB file that passes EPUB-Check
Acceptance: final files must import smoothly into KDP and IngramSpark with no pre-press flags. I’ll provide brand colours and any reference materials as soon as we start.
