Dynamic 48-Page Historical Book Design

This project involves laying out a 48-page colour book plus cover at 240 × 170 mm in Adobe InDesign. The content is historical, yet the overall feel needs to be modern and dynamic—clean grids, engaging typography, and confident colour choices that bring the past to life without feeling dated.

I will provide the manuscript and a curated set of photographs; most pages pair text blocks with a small number of images. The task is to create a consistent visual system, flow the copy, position the photos thoughtfully, and prepare the cover so it sits naturally with the interior.

Key deliverables
• Packaged InDesign file with linked assets
• Press-ready PDF (3 mm bleed, crop marks, CMYK)
• An export-ready, low-res PDF for quick sharing

Acceptance criteria
• All 48 interior pages plus cover formatted to the exact 240 × 170 mm trim
• Master pages for running headers, folios, and section openers
• Paragraph/character styles defined and applied consistently
• Images placed at 300 dpi, colour-managed, and captioned where required
• No overset text, missing links, or font conflicts on pre-flight
