Complete Book Illustration & Layout
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My manuscript is fully proof-read and ready to move into visual production. I now need a skilled illustrator–designer who can take it the rest of the way to publication in both paperback and e-book format.
Illustration scope
• Style: realistic artwork only; think richly detailed scenes rather than cartoon or abstract.
• Coverage: the cover, every chapter opener, and the special pages such as the foreword and index all need bespoke illustrations.
• Theme & palette: I’m flexible. Pitch colour schemes or thematic approaches you feel match the story’s tone.
Publishing assets
Beyond the art itself, I also need a complete print-ready and digital package: formatted interior files, an eye-catching cover layout, properly placed ISBN/barcode, and the e-pub conversion. The final files must meet the standard specifications for major POD platforms (KDP or IngramSpark) as well as EPUB retailers.
Deliverables
1. Concept sketches and final full-resolution illustrations (layered PSD or TIFF + flattened CMYK/PDF).
2. Cover design with front, spine and back laid out to printer specs.
3. Typeset interior for both paperback (PDF/X-1a) and reflowable e-pub.
4. ISBN/barcode placement and all front-matter elements (title page, foreword, acknowledgements) integrated.
5. Print & digital proofs approved and ready for upload.
