Design a Children’s Journal (Amazon KDP – Interior + Cover)
Description:
I am looking for a designer to create a clean, engaging, and print-ready children’s journal for Amazon KDP.
The journal is for kids (ages 7–11) and should feel calm, playful, and thoughtfully designed (not overly cartoonish or cluttered).
Scope of Work:
Interior design (approx. 70–90 pages)
Black & white interior (no heavy illustrations required, only some simple minimal graphics)
Sets of repeatable page layouts (I will provide structure and content)
Cover design (front + spine + back for KDP)
Final files formatted for Amazon KDP (print-ready PDF)
Style Direction:
Minimalist, clean, child-friendly
Montessori / nature-inspired feel
Plenty of white space for writing and drawing
Simple icons (sun, nature, travel elements, big idea, task to do), not cartoon-heavy
Deliverables:
Print-ready interior PDF (KDP compliant)
Print-ready cover (KDP template)
Editable source file (preferably Canva)
Requirements:
Experience designing books/journals for Amazon KDP
Strong layout skills (NOT just illustration)
Ability to follow structured brief and work efficiently
Good communication and responsiveness
Experience designing children’s activity books or journals
Understanding of user experience for kids (readability, spacing)
Timeline:
