A4 Book Typesetting & Layout
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I have already developed the complete visual concept for my book—fonts, colour palette, grid and general look are locked in. What I now need is a meticulous typesetter / layout specialist to flow the content into that template and supply a print-ready file.
Scope
• 53 open A4 pages (that’s 53 double-page spreads).
• All text, images and the approved design feel files will be provided.
• Cover is already designed but may need minor tweaks.
The job will be completed in two parts: Part 1 involves setting up the layout and typesetting as per the provided design concept. Part 2 will involve adding all 53 images once they are finalized and ready.
What I expect as the final deliverable
• A press-ready PDF that respects the existing design, includes correct bleeds, crop marks, embedded fonts and CMYK images.
• Page numbers, running headers and any stylistic elements placed exactly as per the concept.
• Consistent spacing, hyphenation and widows/orphans control so the document is ready to go straight to the printer without further tweaks.
I’m happy to answer questions up front. I am not personally familiar with InDesign, but am happy for that to be used.
Turnaround: ideally within one week of receiving the assets for the layout and text of all 53 spreads. The images are still being worked on and will be shared later.
