Ongoing Freelance Designer Needed (Print + Digital)

Hello! I’m Sharon Thayer, an award-winning children’s book author and publisher with an expanding product line (including both children’s books and a women’s wellness gift product).

I’m looking for a reliable freelance graphic designer to partner with on an ongoing basis — someone I can return to regularly for design and production needs.

Must-Have Skills (Primary Focus)

These are essential:

Book interior layout experience (Adobe InDesign)

Strong print design skills (sell sheets, postcards, inserts, packaging)

Ability to create press-ready printer files
(correct sizing, bleeds, CMYK, PDF export standards)

Comfortable working with printer templates and requirements

Able to assist with uploading final files to printers when needed, so I am not in the middle of the production process

Nice-to-Have Skills (Secondary / Occasional)

These are a bonus, but not required:

Social media post templates (Canva or Adobe)

Simple ad layouts and promotional graphics

Brand-consistent digital assets for email or online marketing

Style & Fit

I’m looking for design that feels:

Warm, uplifting, and gift-market friendly

Professional, clear, and not overly corporate

Suitable for families, women’s wellness, and heartfelt storytelling products

Working Relationship

Ongoing freelance work as needed

Starting with a small paid project (exercise/instruction card)

Opportunity for long-term partnership if it’s a great fit
