Book Layout & Series Designer Needed (Multi-Volume Encyclopedia | InDesign Expert)
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
We are producing a multi-volume encyclopedia and require a professional designer to create a consistent, elegant layout and visual identity across all volumes.
Each volume will contain structured entries, technical illustrations, and 150–300 pages in A5 format.
This role requires precision, experience with long-form books, and mastery of Adobe InDesign.
Responsibilities:
Create a master layout template in Adobe InDesign (A5 format).
Design a cohesive visual identity for all volumes (cover template, logo/insignia, typography system).
Integrate and standardize technical illustrations (provided as coded data).
Deliver print-ready PDFs + editable InDesign files.
Maintain strict formatting consistency across +20 volumes.
Required Skills & Experience:
Advanced Adobe InDesign skills (mandatory).
Proven experience in long-form book layout (150–500 pages).
Experience designing multi-volume series, technical manuals, or academic books.
Strong understanding of typography and clean editorial design.
Ability to produce consistent SVG/PNG illustrations from simple coded inputs.
Designers who work only in Canva or Word will not be considered.

Style guide (fonts, spacing, branding)
Cover design template
Layout for individual volumes
Standardized technical illustrations
