Children's Picture Book Illustrator Wanted
I'm looking for a talented illustrator to bring my first children's picture book to life.
The story is a funny, adventurous tale aimed at children around 8–11 years old (Grades 4–6). It's based on a true story about four mischievous sausage dogs who secretly visit my backyard to meet my border collie and greyhound. The twist is that the sausage dogs aren't ordinary dogs—they travel through a hidden portal from another planet! The book is full of humour, imagination, expressive characters, and exciting action.
I'm looking for an illustrator who can create:
Bright, colourful, highly expressive illustrations.
Consistent character designs throughout the book.
Funny facial expressions and exaggerated emotions.
Detailed double-page spreads with lots of visual storytelling.
A style similar to modern children's picture books with warmth, humour, and plenty of personality.
The book will be approximately 32 pages, with around 16 full-page or double-page illustrations, plus a cover.
Ideally you will have experience illustrating children's books and be able to help develop memorable characters that children will instantly fall in love with.
