Watercolor Children’s Book Illustrations
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I’ve just finished writing a children’s picture book and now I’m ready to bring it to life visually. I need 19 separate illustrations in total—17 interior pages plus both the front and back covers. My heart is set on a gentle, hand-painted watercolor look built around a soft, pastel palette that will feel warm and inviting to young readers.
The job covers:
• Full-bleed front and back covers that flow together as a single scene when the book is laid flat.
• Fifteen story pages that capture both the key scenes and the main characters exactly as they appear in the manuscript.
• Two additional spot illustrations for chapter openers.
I’ll provide the full text, rough page breakdowns, and short character descriptions so you understand each scene’s mood and action. I’m also happy to see your own creative ideas for composition, perspective, and small background details that add charm without cluttering the page.
Please deliver high-resolution, print-ready files (CMYK, 300 dpi) plus lower-resolution RGB versions for digital marketing. Layered PSD or TIFF originals are preferred so the printer can make minor adjustments if needed.
If you have a portfolio featuring soft, pastel watercolors—especially for children—send me a link. I’m aiming for artwork that parents will love framing on a nursery wall and kids will revisit night after night.
