Psychology-Informed Book Cover Design

Job ID: 40414641

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m looking for an experienced adult nonfiction book cover designer for a serious, psychology-informed /trauma-informed personal growth project.

This is specifically a book-cover design project. It is not a logo, branding, flyer, website, pitch deck, UI/UX, social media, children’s book, fantasy, romance, sci-fi, horror, general illustration, or generic template-cover project.

I am screening by portfolio first. Please do not ask for a call or chat in place of the required application response. Incomplete responses will be declined without full review.

The cover must feel commercially polished, mature, grounded, emotionally serious, conceptually strong, and readable at thumbnail size. Typography is critical.

Scope:
- custom front cover
- full paperback wrap: front, spine, and back
- ebook/digital cover file
- print-ready files for KDP and/or IngramSpark
- high-resolution final files
- review mockups
- 3 structured revision rounds, plus reasonable minor refinements
- designer-side technical corrections if the print-ready file is rejected due to file setup issues
- commercial image/font licensing confirmation.

Final artwork must be cleared for commercial print and digital book-cover use. Any third-party font, image, illustration, or asset costs must be disclosed upfront and approved before work begins.

Full title, subtitle, trim size, manuscript details, and private creative direction will be shared only with shortlisted candidates after portfolio review.

To be considered, please include:
1. Three adult nonfiction book covers you personally designed.
2. At least one full paperback wrap sample, if available.
3. A brief explanation of the design concept behind one cover.
4. Confirmation that you can deliver front cover, full wrap, ebook cover, print-ready files, and high-resolution files.
5. Confirmation that image/font licensing will be commercially cleared.
6. Confirmation that you can work within the posted budget.
7. Confirmation that you can complete the full package within 2–3 weeks.
8. Confirmation that you can meet the revision and technical-correction requirements.
9. Whether your covers are custom/conceptual, template-based, or a mix.
