Playful Dog Adventure Illustrator Needed
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I recently self-published a children’s picture-book series starring my two Malshi sisters, Molly and Lucy. AI helped me get the first titles into readers’ hands, but now I want to breathe even more life into the newest book with professional, cartoonish artwork that bursts with vibrant color and clearly shows each character’s expressions and emotions. The overall visual style is already locked in through reference images I can share, yet I’m eager to see how a skilled illustrator can refine and elevate it.
The story follows Molly and Lucy as they – with help from a cast of animal friends – discover what it looks like to reflect the Kingdom of God by learning from Jesus’ example. That heartwarming, faith-focused tone should come through in every spread, so warm palettes, playful lines, and expressive faces are key.
Here’s what I have in mind:
• Character sheet showing Molly, Lucy, and a few supporting animals
• Rough storyboard or thumbnail layout for a 32-page picture book (approx. 24 full-bleed illustration spreads plus cover)
• Final, print-ready full-color illustrations delivered as layered PSD or high-resolution PNG files (300 dpi, CMYK)
Timing is flexible, and I’m open to your professional guidance on workflow, milestones, and pricing. Ideally we’ll collaborate closely—sharing sketches, feedback rounds, and small adjustments—to make sure the book feels bright, engaging, and true to the message.
If this style, subject matter, and collaborative approach resonate with you, I’d love to see a portfolio sample (especially any animal-centric, cartoon work) and hear your thoughts on scope, schedule, and cost. Success on this title could lead to refreshing my earlier books together as well. Let’s chat and bring Molly and Lucy’s next adventure to life!
