Novel Flow, Formatting & Cover

Job ID: 39906623

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD

My 110-k word debut novel is written, line-edited, and sitting at a 99 % score on Grammarly. What I still need is a fresh set of expert eyes to make the story itself sing and a design partner who can shepherd the book through Amazon’s publishing pipeline—then do it all again for the six sequels already underway.

Storyline review
I’m satisfied with grammar and spelling; what matters now is plot consistency. I’d like you to read the manuscript, flag gaps or contradictions, and suggest adjustments that keep the “good-versus-evil, Supernatural-meets-Stargate-meets-Biblical-history” arc tight from first page to last.

Formatting
Once revisions are approved, I’ll hand you the final text. Your job is to deliver a modern, bold layout that meets every KDP requirement (print and Kindle), complete with front- and back-matter, headings, and scene breaks ready for upload.

Cover art
The current cover feels flat. I’m after an eye-catching design built around symbolic imagery that hints at the novel’s themes rather than literal portraits of characters. Think mythic motifs, ancient glyphs, cosmic fissures—whatever sparks curiosity in the fantasy-sci-fi crowd while fitting Amazon’s size, resolution, and spine specs. I have included the original cover art from 2014ish. Early on, I was excited by it, but it is dark and not at all what I see in the book stores now. I also have character sketches that will give a basic vibe of what I am looking for, and these would be for a final phase if included.

Future work
This is book one of a planned seven-title series, so I’m looking for someone interested in a long-term creative partnership. Being based in Florida, Georgia, or Alabama is a bonus; I’d love to meet over coffee or a convention table at some point to brainstorm the bigger universe. Being a Christian may give you a better understanding of some of the research, storyline, and characters.

Deliverables
• Annotated manuscript addressing plot consistency
• Print-ready and Kindle-ready files (PDF, EPUB, MOBI) with modern formatting
• High-resolution cover (front, spine, back) plus eBook variant
• Source files for future revisions (InDesign or equivalent, layered PSD/AI)

Price: I have the money. I expect quality and someone who listens and can adapt based on what they hear. I have also been ripped off, and that will not happen again. That being said, I put "small" for the price point, and based on the quality of the work, that can be adjusted, so don't let that scare you off.

If the blend of supernatural adventure, ancient lore, and a touch of old-school collaboration sounds like your wheelhouse, let’s talk timeline and milestones so we can launch book one and pave the way for the rest of the saga.
