Minimalist Book Cover Design
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I’m preparing to publish and need a straightforward, elegant cover that lets the title do all the talking. The concept is intentionally simple:
• Background: a single, solid green ‑ I’m flexible on the exact shade, so feel free to suggest what works best for legibility and visual impact.
• Title treatment: uppercase, clean sans-serif font. Two of the four title words should stand out in Black, the other two in SIlver, with a subtle “hide” or fade effect so the contrasting pairs feel cohesive while still grabbing attention.
Because this is a one-sided design, there’s no spine or back layout to worry about—just the front cover at standard trade-paperback dimensions (I’ll supply exact trim size and bleed once we start).
Deliverables (print-ready and digital):
1. High-resolution PDF (300 dpi, CMYK, with bleed)
2. Web-optimised JPEG/PNG for online listings
3. Editable source file (PSD, AI or InDesign)
Acceptance criteria:
• Colours and font style match the specs above
• Text remains crisp and readable when scaled down to thumbnail size
• File passes KDP/Ingram print checks without manual tweaks
Turnaround within a few days would be ideal, and I’m happy to give quick, concise feedback so we can lock the design in efficiently. If you have a fresh twist on this minimalist approach, I’m eager to see it.
