Inspirational Memoir Cover Design

Job ID: 40121986

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I have a single, powerful photograph that captures the moment I first stood outside the hospital after my heart transplant, and I’d like that image to anchor the cover of my memoir, “A Heart Worth Saving.”

The design language I’m after is minimalist and emotionally grounded: think plenty of negative space, a gentle sense of spiritual light or connection, and an earthy palette that feels honest and warm rather than clinical. The medical journey is only half the story; the other half is the quiet, resilient work of healing a mother-daughter wound. I’d like the typography itself to carry that duality: elegant yet strong, intimate yet sophisticated.

You’ll be delivering a full wrap for a hardcover (dust-jacket and case-laminate) as well as an Amazon-optimized e-book cover. I’ll supply the final trim sizes, back-cover copy, and my author photo once we begin. Final files should include print-ready PDFs and layered source files (Photoshop or InDesign) so I can make future tweaks if needed.

If this style speaks to you, let’s bring this story to life visually.

Quick side note.. the picture i uploaded is me with my scar. I want to make sure the scar is whats speaking to the audience not distracted by the extra skin (i dont want it to look like I'm fully naked). so semi conservative, semi vulnerable. Unless you think it may work with how i have it now.
