Illustrative Fiction Book Cover Design

I'm seeking a talented designer to create an illustrative book cover for my fiction novel. The cover should convey a slightly grim anime style, capturing the essence of the story with a unique and engaging visual.

Book is about main hero who lives in our modern world, high schooler, who gets swapped into fantasy world by another character - our heroine. Happens by mistake.
Our main hero is trapped in the fantasy world, trying to survive, and heroine who got him in there, is trapped in ours. They have telepathic connection, so together they are trying to figure out how to get back and how to help each other survive in their new setting.
Book cover should illustrate our high schooler in blue jeans, heavy metal tshirt, school backpack and wooden pole in his hand that he will use as a weapon for starter, while the heroine is half elf, trying to hide her ears with bonnie hat (due to prejudice against elves in her world), and heavy dark coat full of patches that she uses to conceal her slim, distinguishible elven body composition. She is also an artificer, so she wears steampunk eyepatch with magnifying lense and a toolbelt full of delicate tools for her work (selection of tiny screwdrivers, pliers, etc). In the background, there are both worlds shown, but maybe its not necessary.
I have created an AI image which depicts characters well, but its kind of boring. I would image characters to be in more dynamic pose reflecting their character traits - hero is introvert, but tough, heroine is shy, but smart. They might be in a pose where they are almost reaching for each other, separated by the portal. Also the fantasy world can have dragons and goblins, while the modern world will have airplanes and cars to showcase the differences even more.
