I’m seeking an illustrator to bring my completed children’s picture book to life.
Book Title: Ollie and the Tide That Talked Back

Genre: Children’s picture book (ages 4–7)
Length: 32 pages (approx. 600 words)
The story follows a curious Aussie beach kid, Ollie, and his pet crab, Mr Crabbles, as he asks questions to the ocean — which listens and “talks back.” The tone is playful, funny, and calming, with a strong ocean/Blue Mind theme about mindfulness and curiosity.
Illustration Style:
Bold digital with painterly texture – think luminous ocean colours, expressive character design, and warmth.
The art should feel modern, lively, and a little magical — painterly brush texture rather than flat cartoon.
