Fantasy Illustrator for Series Sequel

Job ID: 39789027

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

The second edition of my Molly Ribbons children’s series is ready for new art, and I want illustrations that feel magical yet grounded enough to keep nine-to-twelve-year-olds turning the pages. The first book has already sold well, so these images must both respect the established tone at MollyRibbons.com and lift the story to the next level.

Style
Fantasy is the heartbeat of this project—think vibrant colours, imaginative creatures, and dynamic perspective rather than soft cartoon curves. Characters should read as heroic and expressive without slipping into full realism; they still need a hint of wonder.

Scene focus
Every illustration is set outdoors. Forest clearings, cliff-side vistas, hidden waterfalls, and twilight skies all appear in the manuscript. Backgrounds should feel expansive, not cluttered, with atmosphere that pulls the reader into the world.

What I will need from you
• Rough thumbnails to confirm composition and pacing
• Full-colour finals at 300 DPI, CMYK, sized for an 8.5" × 11" trim plus bleed
• Layered source files (PSD or Procreate) so type can float above art during layout
• A wraparound cover that harmonises with the internal pages

Timeline and checkpoints are flexible as long as we agree on milestones for sketches, colour proofs, and finals. If you have a portfolio rich in adventurous outdoor fantasy scenes, I’d love to see it so we can start planning the visual journey together.
