I’m preparing a paperback for Amazon KDP that gathers a lifetime of memories and reflections, and I want its cover to feel like a heartfelt hug the moment someone sees it. The first emotion I need it to transmit is love, expressed through a warm, soft palette—think beige, off-white, muted dusty rose, sage, or terracotta—without drifting into anything flashy or childish.
Clean minimalism is key: generous breathing space, elegant typography (serif or refined sans-serif), and absolutely no clip-art hearts or kitschy illustrations. I’m after something timeless and reassuring; the kind of cover children will be proud to hand to their mother as an intimate, caring gift.
Scope of work
• Design a full KDP-ready cover (front, spine, back + barcode space) at the correct trim and bleed settings.
• Supply print-ready PDF plus layered source file (PSD, AI, or InDesign—whichever you prefer).
• Provide the main artwork as a high-resolution JPEG/PNG for promotional use.
Acceptance criteria
1. Palette aligns with the soft tones listed above.
2. Layout remains uncluttered and emotionally powerful—no on-the-nose stock imagery.
3. Text is perfectly legible at thumbnail size on Amazon.
4. Final files pass KDP’s print preview without adjustments.
