ESP32 Bluetooth A2DP Headphones connection optimization
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I would like to get my Espressif ESP32 code optimized to allow a very quick connection with various bluetooth headphones. Currently the standard Espressif ESP-IDF v4.2 library along with the A2DP source example takes 10-30 seconds to establish a connection with most bluetooth headphones. I'd like to try to get it optimized to connect in less then 5 seconds. Connecting immediately to last device connected is an option if it fills this requirement.
I also have some Bluetooth 5 headphones that do not connect, or connect with glitchy audio. I'd like the bluetooth to be more robust and stable when connecting to any headphones.
- Must have access to ESP32 development board for testing and be familiar with ESP-IDF v4.2 development library.
- Code needs to continue to allow support for dual Bluetooth mode - BT classic and BLE, and wifi.
- Espressif's Bluetooth A2DP source example code is integrated into our project and will be the code that needs to be optimized. I will share repository, if project is awarded.
