Bluetooth/Wi-Fi Direct Integration Expert for Speaker/Recorder Device

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to modify an existing recorder/speaker device by adding a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct receiver. The enhanced device should allow for the secure transfer of audio files between a custom mobile application (iOS and Android) and the speaker/recorder. Additionally, we require connections in sourcing and manufacturing the modified device at a reasonable price.

Responsibilities:
• Integrate a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or Wi-Fi Direct receiver into an existing speaker/recorder device.
• Ensure the device can exclusively receive audio files from our custom mobile application.
• Explore different audio file types to make it more difficult to send audio that is not through the app.
• Enable the speaker/recorder to pair with user accounts created within our application.
• Facilitate secure sharing of audio files between users via the application.
• Ensure audio files are stored securely on users’ mobile devices.
• Collaborate with the application development team to ensure seamless integration.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in modifying hardware, particularly with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct integration.
• Strong understanding of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and/or Wi-Fi Direct communication protocols.
• Proficiency in embedded systems development and microcontroller programming.
• Experience in sourcing and coordinating manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with our development team.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of firmware development and updating processes.
• Experience in developing secure mobile applications.
• Familiarity with cloud services and API development for user authentication and file sharing.
• Proven track record in sourcing electronic components and managing manufacturing partnerships.
Project Scope:
• Modify the existing recorder/speaker device to include a BLE or Wi-Fi Direct receiver.
• Develop and implement protocols for pairing the device with our mobile application.
• Ensure the modified device can only receive audio files transferred via our application.
• Enable audio file sharing between users within the app.
• Ensure seamless storage and retrieval of audio files on users’ mobile devices.
• Source manufacturing partners and coordinate production to ensure cost-effective and high-quality manufacturing.

We are exploring avenues to connect a recorder to an application on iOS and Android. While we prefer to modify the existing recorder, we are open to developing a new recorder if required. Budget is an important consideration for this project.
