Improvement of the Raspberry BLE management module for an asset tracking application

Job ID: 36779932

Budget: €18 – €36 EUR

Objective: The main aim of this project is to enhance the functionality of the Raspberry Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) management module, which plays an integral role in our asset tracking application.

Scope: Currently, our application can handle a limited number of tags, and we are seeking to extend this capability to efficiently manage hundreds of tags simultaneously, with transmission intervals every 10 to 30 minutes. These improvements should increase the efficacy of our asset tracking system, enabling broader adoption across larger industrial environments.

Tasks:

Improve tag management capabilities: This will involve refining the BLE management module's algorithm for better scalability and performance. The goal is to support the tracking and management of hundreds of tags simultaneously.

Optimize transmission intervals: The project will address the timing of transmissions, aiming to ensure stable and reliable communication every 10 to 30 minutes between the tags and the Raspberry BLE module.

Expected Outcome: By the end of this project, we expect to have a Raspberry BLE management module with enhanced capabilities for handling hundreds of asset tags concurrently. The improved system should perform reliably in industrial settings, offering consistent asset tracking data with regular transmission intervals.

This project will not only improve our existing asset tracking application but also pave the way for more comprehensive, large-scale tracking solutions in the future. It will meet the growing demand for advanced asset tracking in industrial environments, providing users with a robust, reliable, and scalable solution.
