Comprehensive BOQ: Painting & Steel
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I need a meticulous quantity surveyor who can extract every last metre of paintwork and square metres of structural steel from my drawings and turn those figures into a clear, professionally formatted Bill of Quantities. The scope spans residential, commercial and industrial buildings, so you must be comfortable switching between small-scale wall schedules one day and multi-storey steel frames the next.
Here’s what I expect:
• Complete take-offs directly from the latest PDF/CAD drawings and specs I supply.
• Separate trade sections for Painting and Steelwork, each with measured quantities, unit rates (I’ll insert the final rates if you leave them blank), and calculated totals.
• A concise summary page that rolls everything up for quick budgeting.
• Delivery in an unlocked Excel workbook plus a print-ready PDF.
Accuracy is critical; I will spot-check random sample items against the drawings before approving the file. If you use CostX, Planswift, Bluebeam, or similar take-off software, just let me know so I can match your measurement style.
Once we agree on a building, I’ll send the drawings, finish schedules and steel fabrication sheets. Turnaround per project is normally one week, but if you can beat that, even better.
