Nextcloud-Ethernity Cloud Enclave App & Node.js Bridge
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
Nextcloud <> Ethernity Cloud Enclave App (WalletConnect, On-chain Attestation)
We’re hiring an experienced developer (or small team) to build a Nextcloud app that stores only ciphertext in Nextcloud while all metadata and access control live privately inside Ethernity Cloud. Files are encrypted to Ethernity enclave keys on upload; on access, the enclave decrypts in a TEE and re-encrypts to the requester’s secp256k1 wallet. The client must verify the enclave’s on-chain proof before any data is sent. Blockchain network is selectable (default Polygon). Max file size: 10 GB.
You’ll deliver a production-ready Nextcloud app (PHP + TS/React) plus an independent Node.js bridge (Dockerized) using the Ethernity Cloud Node SDK for operations not suitable in the browser. The UX supports WalletConnect v2, resumable/chunked uploads, private structural search (images/videos/docs only—no full text), and range streaming playback with local decrypt. Recipient encryption keys are curated by the enclave owner (the wallet that bootstraped the enclave).
Deliverables
Nextcloud app (latest version) with WalletConnect integration and on-chain enclave proof check
Encrypt-to-enclave upload (10 GB, resumable), private metadata & policy write
Access path: signed request → enclave policy check → decrypt→re-encrypt → client decrypt
Structural search UI (type/mimetype/size + image/video/doc fields), pagination
Sharing/policy editor (grant/revoke wallets, expiry)
Independent Node.js bridge (Docker, config via app admin UI)
Tests (unit + E2E), setup docs, architecture diagram, CI (GitHub Actions)
Acceptance Criteria
App blocks upload/access if enclave proof isn’t verified on-chain (chain selectable; Polygon default)
Nextcloud stores only ciphertext; all metadata remains private in Ethernity Cloud
Authorized wallets can stream & decrypt; unauthorized attempts are audited
Structural search works across images/videos/docs (no full-text)
10 GB files upload reliably (resume after failure); videos support HTTP Range playback
Bridge runs independently and is fully configurable from admin settings
Nice to Have (future phase)
Folder-level sharding across multiple enclaves for scalability
Versioned metadata, key rotation tooling, simple analytics
Required Experience
Nextcloud app development (PHP) and modern frontend (TypeScript/React)
Web3: WalletConnect v2, message signing (EIP-191/712), secp256k1 crypto
Secure streaming & client-side crypto (AES-GCM, chunking, integrity)
Node.js services (Docker), API design, observability, CI/CD
How to Apply
Please include:
2–3 relevant projects (links/screenshots)
A brief approach/architecture (1–2 pages max) and timeline
Any questions or assumptions that affect scope/estimates
(We’ll share more technical details—schemas, contracts, and attestation specifics—after shortlist.)
