NFT Authentification for masses products

We are a company in the ecigarette, we sell about 300'000 ecigarette per month internationally.
We are looking for a way to authenticate our cigarettes using NFT to counteract counterfeiting
We have the idea to create a unique QR code scannable on each ecigarette sold.
The consumer will be able to scan the QR code on the packaging of the ecigarette and this will create an NFT that will prove the authenticity of the cigarette.
If the user does not scan the QR Code, no NFT is then created and after 6 months for example, the user can no longer scan the QR Code.
The consumer will be able to see the NFT on OpenSea
All the costs of the NFT mint are at our charge, that's why we think of using the Polygon blockchain.
We are of course open to any other proposal, improvement.
