Minimalist BTCfi Staking MVP

Job ID: 39725402

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m putting together a proof-of-concept that lets users stake one Bitcoin-aligned asset and farm its native yield—nothing more, nothing less. The goal is to demonstrate that BTCfi can feel as clean and frictionless as a bare-bones savings app, so every pixel and line of code should serve that idea of extreme minimalism.

Scope
• Blockchain: we’re not on Ethereum, BSC, or Solana—the stack will be a Bitcoin-centric option (Stacks, Rootstock, or another you’re comfortable with). Help me choose the most practical one and set up the tooling around it.
• Functionality: single-asset staking and automated yield distribution. No order books, liquidity pools, or lending logic—just deposit, accrue, withdraw.
• Design: I have a hand-drawn sketch of the three screens (wallet connect, stake, dashboard). We’ll keep typography monochrome and interactions one click wherever possible. You can translate the sketch into a concise Figma or code it directly.

Deliverables
1. Smart contract (auditable, test-covered) that accepts deposits, tracks staking balances, and mints/distributes yield.
2. Lightweight front-end (React, Svelte, or similar) with wallet integration for the chosen Bitcoin-layer chain.
3. Deployment scripts and a short README so I can spin the MVP up on testnet in one command.

Acceptance criteria
• Contract compiles, deploys, and passes unit tests that cover deposit, reward calculation, and withdrawal.
• Front-end connects to a testnet wallet, shows real-time stake and rewards, and allows stake/unstake in under three clicks.
• Codebase and UI both stay under the “ultra-minimal” philosophy—no unused libraries or visual clutter.

If you’ve built lean DeFi products before or know the quirks of Bitcoin-layer tooling, this should feel refreshingly straightforward. I’m ready to start as soon as you can outline your approach and timeline.
