Blockchain Academic Credential Verification
Budget: £750 – £1,500 GBP
I need a blockchain-based platform that lets individuals store and instantly verify their academic certificates. My top priority is robust credential verification, not just simple storage.
What the solution must do
• Write each certificate’s hash to an immutable ledger, keeping the actual document safely off-chain.
• Run automatic authenticity checks whenever a credential is shared.
• Track every issuance event so I can see who issued what, and when.
• Maintain a detailed user access history so each view or share is auditable.
• Connect seamlessly to popular digital wallets (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.) so graduates can carry and sign their credentials from within their wallet.
Deliverables for this engagement
1. An architecture document that explains your choice of chain (public or permissioned), smart-contract design, and off-chain storage strategy.
2. A working prototype where I can:
– issue a test certificate from an admin dashboard,
– store the certificate hash on chain,
– pull the credential into a wallet, and
– run a verification that returns authenticity status, issuer data, and an access log.
3. Clean APIs and brief documentation so my front-end team can extend what you build.
4. A short hand-off video or guide covering deployment, scaling, and maintenance.
Experience with Solidity, W3C Verifiable Credentials, or similar credentialing projects is highly valued. Share links to relevant work and outline the tech stack you recommend. I’m ready to start as soon as I find the right fit.
