3D Sculptor Needed – Medieval-Style Board Game Terrain, Roads, and Settlements (FDM Printable, STL Deliverables)

Job ID: 40109729

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I am looking for a skilled 3D sculptor (ZBrush or Blender preferred) to create stylized medieval board-game components intended for FDM 3D printing.

This project focuses on organic, sculpted terrain and structures.
This is not mechanical or parametric CAD — I will handle all dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing integration.

The goal is to create high-quality, tabletop-readable assets that print cleanly and look premium when assembled.

SCOPE OF WORK AND DELIVERABLES
All deliverables must be provided as clean, manifold STL files.

1. Terrain Pieces (8 Total)

Each terrain type delivered as a separate STL, designed to sit on a hex tile base.

1.1) Forest (trees)

1.2) Wheat field

1.3) Mountain

1.4) Stone / quarry

1.5) Sheep / pasture

1.6) Hay / farmland

1.7) Desert

1.8) Ocean (NOT on a Hex Base. Functions as a border for the greater terrain)

2. Road Design

- Medieval-style road segment

- Designed to fit between terrain tiles

- Modular and repeatable

- Visually consistent with the terrain set

3. Settlement Design

- Medieval settlement / village structure

- Designed to be placed at tile corners

- Stylized (not hyper-realistic)

- Strong silhouette and easily readable at tabletop scale

- Style & Aesthetic Requirements

- Medieval / old-world style across all components

- Stylized rather than photorealistic

- Consistent visual language across terrain, roads, and settlements

- Features should be slightly exaggerated to ensure readability once printed

TECHNICAL AND PRINT CONSTAINTS
- Intended for FDM 3D printing (PLA)

- Surface detail resolution no smaller than ~0.3 mm

- Avoid micro-details such as leaf-by-leaf foliage or ultra-fine grain

- Strong texture and depth preferred over tiny details

- No extreme undercuts; models must be printable with minimal or no supports

- Clean, flat, or well-defined interface surface where models meet the tile base (to be defined more clearly)

- Flat, circular depression on each hex, allowing for a coin to sit on the tile (dimension to be defined more clearly)

WORKFLOW AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exact dimensions and tolerances will be provided

- Artist is responsible for sculpted surface geometry only

- Terrain tiles should be delivered first for visual approval before roads and settlements

- One revision pass included for the full set

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- All delivered models must be original work

- Full commercial rights transfer upon payment

- Models may be used for commercial production and sale

IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Proven experience sculpting terrain, miniatures, or tabletop game assets

- Strong portfolio featuring organic or environment models

- Familiar with 3D printing constraints, especially FDM

- Comfortable working within defined resolution and printability limits

- Experience with Medieval art style

INCLUDE IN PROPOSAL
- Portfolio (terrain, miniatures, or environment work preferred)

- Tools used (ZBrush, Blender, etc.)

- Confirmation that you understand FDM print constraints

PRICE
-Open to proposals

- Expected range: $300–600 total, depending on portfolio quality and experience
