3D Designer Needed for Multi-Color STL / AMS-Compatible
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for an experienced 3D designer/CAD artist who specializes in:
Blender
Mesh topology
Manifold STL generation
Multi-part 3D printing models
Bambu Studio / AMS multi-color printing workflows
PROJECT OVERVIEW
I already have a working base body STL for a spherical “countryball” style character.
The body geometry itself is already complete and must remain unchanged:
top hanging hole
bottom geometry
peg holes
shell thickness
accessories handled separately in OpenSCAD
The ONLY job is applying country flag graphics correctly onto the curved body as separate printable color bodies.
THE PROBLEM TO SOLVE
Previous attempts I have tried to do have failed because:
surface wrappers disappear during slicing
thin geometry breaks apart
non-manifold meshes fail in Bambu Studio
projected graphics clip at the equator of the sphere
multipart STLs are not slicing correctly
I need a PROPER production workflow for:
curved flag projection onto a sphere
manifold printable color geometry
AMS-compatible multipart STL export
clean slicing in Bambu Studio
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS
The solution MUST:
preserve the original body mesh exactly
NOT rebuild/remesh the entire sphere
create separate watertight printable color bodies
slice correctly in Bambu Studio Preview
support future country variants using the same workflow
DELIVERABLES
Please provide:
working Blender (.blend) source files
final multipart STL export
reusable workflow/template for future countries
clean topology/manifold geometry
BONUS IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH:
shrinkwrap workflows
SVG-to-mesh workflows
Boolean workflows on curved surfaces
multi-material print optimization
collectible/toy design
When applying, please include:
examples of curved multi-color 3D printable models
examples of multipart STL work
examples specifically made for AMS or multi-material printing if possible
Additional Requirement – Serialized Bottom Markings
I also need serialized numbering added to the bottom of the body.
Example format:
GB-001
GB-002
GB-003
(or potentially another agreed serial format)
The serial number must:
be clean and readable after printing
work with the existing bottom geometry
not interfere with peg holes or shell integrity
remain manifold and printable
IMPORTANT:
I need a scalable workflow for generating future serial numbers.
Preferred options:
A Blender/OpenSCAD/template workflow where I can easily change the serial number myself and export a new STL
OR
A batch-generated set of STL files where each file contains a different serial number
Examples:
GB-001
GB-002
GB-003
etc.
Please mention in your proposal:
how you would implement serialized numbering
whether the numbering would be embossed, engraved, or recessed
how easily future serials can be generated.
