Blender & FreeCAD Chess Design
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I’m working on a new chess set and need the full range of pieces modelled as a product-ready 3D design. Every element has to be created in Blender for the sculptural freedom it offers, then rebuilt in FreeCAD so the geometry is fully parametric and ready for manufacturing workflows.
The end goal is a clean, watertight model for each piece (pawn through king) that can be exported to STL or STEP without loss of detail. Throughout the process I’d like the files organised so I can tweak dimensions—base diameters, overall heights, ornamental motifs—directly in FreeCAD without starting from scratch in Blender.
Deliverables
• .blend files with non-destructive modifiers and clean topology
• FreeCAD files with fully constrained sketches and labelled feature tree
• Final export of each piece in STL and STEP formats
• A brief hand-off note explaining scale units, material suggestions, and any dependencies or add-ons used
I’ll be available to answer questions quickly, review work in progress, and sign off on each piece as it’s completed.
