SmartWear Health Technologies™, Inc., a pioneering company in the wearable biomedical technology space, is seeking a highly experienced SBIR grant writer to lead the preparation and submission of SBIR proposals to NSF and additional federally funded SBIR programs such as NIH or DoD, depending on success. SmartWear Health Technologies™, Inc. has received an invitation for our Phase I NSF SBIR proposal. This grant will support the development and commercialization of our innovative wearable health technology designed to optimize autonomic function and improve wellness outcomes.

Requirements:
• Proven track record of successfully securing SBIR grants.
• Familiarity with the landscape of federal funding for wearable health product development at small businesses.
• Expertise in biomedical technology or related fields, preferably with experience in the wellness domain.
• Strong understanding of NIH, NSF, or DoD SBIR guidelines and submission processes.
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to convey technical and scientific concepts effectively.
• Commitment to identify and pursue SBIR opportunities until this critical funding is secured.

Deliverables:
• Comprehensive and compelling grant application tailored to the NSF SBIR guidelines.
• Timeline with identified second and third choice SBIR programs if NSF proposal is not funded.
• Collaboration with our internal team to incorporate technical details and strategic objectives.
• Timely submission of all required documentation to meet program deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of innovative wearable health technologies, or wellness products.
• Familiar with signal processing of autonomic variables especially extracting ‘neural’ components embedded in heart rate variability. Have a general understanding of the autonomic nervous system as a feedback loop regulating autonomic state.
• Experience working with startups or small businesses in the MedTech or health-tech sectors.
