Rotator Cuff Injury Biomechanics Expert Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I need an expert in injury tolerance and biomechanics, specifically focused on soft tissue injuries, to assess rotator cuff tears.
Key Requirements:
- Expertise in soft tissue injury biomechanics
- In-depth knowledge of rotator cuff anatomy and injury mechanics
- Experience in injury assessment protocols
Ideal Skills:
- Advanced degree in biomechanics or related field
- Professional experience with soft tissue injuries
- Strong analytical and assessment skills
Basically, in summary:
- Caucasian Male - 41yo
- Fall down stairs in July 2020. Except mechanics of fall unknown, except to say that they declared they were carrying a box, lost their footage and fell backwards. There is reported injury to their spine (cervical; thoracic; and lumbar). Now, reports that there may have also be an injury to their rotator cuff (including a partial tear of their supraspinatus tendon). [1]
At this stage, we seek VERY preliminary feedback, to guide our further enquiries. Specifically, we seek to know:
1. If damage to a rotator cuff is consistent with a backwards fall on stairs.
2. the estimated probability (likelihood) that their rotator cuff muscle could have been injured (on a scale of 0 to 10 would be great).
3. If, in the event the individual has a diagnosis of hypermobility spectrum disorder / Ehlers–Danlos syndrome, etc, the likelihood (at 2 above) would change - either up or down.

[1] until now, now radiology or imaging has been done of the rotator cuff. It is believed that the pain and discomfort was radiating to their interscapular area, thus 'disguising' or 'hiding' the rotator cuff injury.
