Electrical/Biomedical Engineer I (Full-time/Co-op)

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer to join our team who will be responsible for the development and validation of the portable and wireless patient monitoring module.
Responsibilities:
• Developing new PCB designs and updating existing designs.
• Utilize development boards for signal acquisitions and recording.
• Design and develop algorithms in LabView, Matlab or similar environments for bio-signal acquisition.
• Develop hardware using open source platforms.
• Integration of transducers to DAQ’s for signal acquisition, processing and display.
• Collect requirements and review engineering specifications and test plans to figure out, if any, new equipment is required to test samples
• Support design and development of hardware and software environments.
• Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected; receives guidance on unusual or complex problems.
• Analyzes data and develop new directions.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical engineering or Instrumentation.
• Knowledge in signal processing, test and measurement devices and DAQ configuration and integration.
• Exposure to programming through hands-on learning, such as Arduino or raspberry pi.
• Knowledgeable in statistical analysis of data and tools for analytics.
• Strong analytical background, problem solving skills, and communication skills.
