Dental Implant Simulation (COMSOL + Nano-coating)
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Title:
Simulate Coated Zirconia Dental Implant Using COMSOL (Nano-coating + Stress Analysis)
Description:
I’m looking for an expert in COMSOL Multiphysics or similar FEA software to simulate a zirconia dental implant coated with nano-hydroxyapatite (nHA) and magnesium oxide (MgO).
The purpose of the simulation is to:
• Visualize stress distribution and mechanical behavior of the coated surface under functional loads (e.g., mastication).
• Evaluate the influence of coating thickness, material morphology, and layering order.
• Assess stability of dual coatings (nHA + MgO) on curved implant geometry (helix).
I will provide:
• Coating process details and material properties.
• Experimental characterization results (nanoindentation, SEM, FTIR, XRF, contact angle, profilometer).
• Geometry guidance (implants split into 3 parts – middle part for mechanical test).
Preferred Tool: COMSOL (Mechanical Module + Coating Layers), but ANSYS is acceptable too.
Please respond with:
• A short plan for how you’d approach the simulation.
• Examples of similar simulations you’ve done (preferably biomedical or layered coating work).
• Estimated cost and delivery time
