You will choose one primary journal article about this topic as the subject of your writing assignment. Please pick a recently published article, published within the last 6 years (so no earlier than 2015). You may find the article from among the references in one of the above listed review articles, or you may find it by searching PubMed. The article you write about must be a research article (not a review). You can recognize a research article because it includes a Methods section and reports primary data in a Results section. In some journals, information regarding methods may appear in the figure legends. Your assignment is to review the research article, and your review should be written as something like a “News and Views” or “Outlook” review article (these are review articles found in journals such as Nature, Science, Genes & Development that are directed at a scientifically literate audience, not a general audience). These types of review articles highlight the most exciting or interesting findings but don’t go into a detailed discussion of all experimental results
