Study pyschopharmacology, brain pathways (receptors, cycles with other neurotransmitters, enzymes etc) and metabolism and chemical changes under different conditions - of some receptor systems and "drugs" / chemicals

Amanita Muscaria - primarily glutamte/ GABA anaologues (ibotenic acid, muscimol specifcially), but also want to find things like what happens when they are burnt. trying to ascertain how and what psycological / neurological bases of this legal entheogen / psychedelic mushroom. This is a relatively new scientific field, but some of the chemicals have been studied before, and of course the underlying brain cycles / transmitters/ receptors are known generally, but trying to figure out the specific details of these analogues, and other chemicals in the mushroom such as muscizone. also curious about similar questions in Cannabis (endocannabinoid system and beyond (terpenes)) and psilocybin.. there are also cross-interactions with things like ketamine, as well as interactions between all these drugs. some of these (psilocybin, MDMA) are blocked by antipsychotics (mostly 5HT receptor actions)
