Job Title: Experienced Medical MCQ Writer for Discriminatory and Detailed Study Preparation
Job Description: I am looking for an experienced medical MCQ writer to develop a comprehensive set of over 5,000 high-level, discriminatory questions for advanced study preparation, particularly tailored for a medical doctor preparing for a fellowship-level exam. Here’s what I need:
Source Material-Based Questions: All questions must be crafted based solely on specific source material that I provide. This material will guide the level of detail and specificity required for both questions and explanations.
Clear, Concise MCQs with Realistic Distractors: Questions should be written to distinguish nuanced knowledge. Each question must have one clear correct answer and three plausible distractors that are detailed enough to challenge advanced learners. Distractors should seem like they could be correct, requiring careful consideration to choose the right answer.
Automatic Flow and Detailed Explanations: Questions should be delivered one at a time. After I answer, I need a detailed explanation of the correct answer based solely on the source material, ideally without repeating questions. Each new question should follow automatically after the previous explanation or correction.
High-Yield and Discriminatory Focus: The sequence of questions should prioritize high-yield topics rather than following the material's order directly, with questions crafted to challenge and reinforce detailed knowledge at a consultant level.
Requirements:
Proven experience in medical question writing at a fellowship or consultant level.
Ability to generate explanations from source material in a clear, succinct format.
Familiarity with discriminatory-style MCQ writing, aimed at distinguishing fine points of knowledge.
If you have experience creating advanced medical MCQs, particularly for high-stakes exams, and can follow a strict source-based approach, I would love to hear from you!
Please include examples of past MCQs that demonstrate realistic distractors and detailed explanations.
