Remediation Invoice Compliance Review

Description:
I’m looking for an experienced professional, preferably someone with background in insurance claims, billing disputes, or property damage remediation, to assist with reviewing and disputing an invoice from a remediation company related to a clean water break in a basement.
The project includes two main parts:
1. Invoice Review & Dispute:
• Examine the remediation company’s invoice for accuracy, reasonableness, and consistency with industry standards.
• Identify any questionable charges or overbilling.
• Draft a concise, professional response or dispute letter outlining findings and support points.
2. Insurance Reimbursement Review:
• Review the insurer’s explanation of benefits or reimbursement report.
• Compare what the insurance company approved or denied versus what was invoiced.
• Summarize discrepancies and provide recommendations for next steps or additional documentation to submit.
3. Deliverables:
• Summary report identifying disputed items and justification
• Draft correspondence for remediation company and/or insurer
• Optional short call to review findings and next steps
4 Ideal Candidate:
• Experience with Xactimate, property insurance claims, restoration billing, or loss assessment
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to explain findings clearly
• Prior dispute or homeowner insurance claim experience preferred
