2D to 3D Advance Steel Model

Job ID: 40269009

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I need my structural plans, currently supplied as clean 2D DWG files, rebuilt in Advance Steel as a fully native 3D model. The scope is limited to primary steelwork only—columns, beams and braces—so that the resulting file can drive an accurate material take-off.

Accuracy matters more than visuals. Every member should come in as an Advance Steel object with correct profiles, orientations, cut-backs and connections wherever dimensions are shown on the drawings. No proxy solids, no generic AutoCAD lines.

Once the steel is placed, export a Bill of Materials directly from Advance Steel and deliver it alongside the model. I will cross-check the tonnage against our internal estimate, so the quantities must reconcile within a reasonable engineering tolerance.

Deliverables
• Native Advance Steel .dwg containing the 3D model
• Excel or CSV BOM generated from the model, grouped by section and length
• A short PDF or screenshot set that verifies member naming conventions you used

I will provide the DWGs and our layer standards as soon as we start. If you work with a specific template or connection library, let me know so we stay compatible.
