Solid Edge Stainless Steel Railing Design

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I need a stainless steel railing system to be designed in Solid Edge, based on my own site measurements and photos. The project includes approx. 5 railing sections and 1 gate.

Details:

Material: inox (stainless steel), closed square section 40x40 mm

Infill: perforated sheet metal

All necessary holes must be included. No welding details are required.

The model must be parametric and fully constrained.

Workflow:

First deliver a 3D assembly model (.asm) with part files for review (checkpoint). I will provide feedback before drawings are created.

After approval, deliver complete manufacturing drawings (PDF) with dimensions and a Bill of Materials (BOM).

Provide DXF files for laser cutting (flat patterns for sheet metal/plate parts and perforated panels).

Optional STEP/IGES export is welcome.

Deliverables:

3D assembly and part files (.asm, .par, .psm)

Manufacturing drawings (PDF, clear, dimensioned, tolerances, BOM included)

DXF files for laser cutting (per part, correct scale, ready for fabrication)

Exploded assembly view with item numbers matching BOM

Communication:
I will supply photos, measured dimensions, and layout sketches. I will also specify the exact positions and design requirements. The assembly must be shared with me first for approval before creating the final drawings.

Deadline: 1 week from start (3D assembly within 2–3 days, final package after approval).

Acceptance:

Files must open correctly in Solid Edge

PDFs must be complete and readable

DXFs must be suitable for CAM/laser cutting

BOM must list all parts and quantities
