Automated Stationary Waste Compactor Design - 15/06/2026 10:32 EDT

Job ID: 40515735

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I need a complete engineering package for a fully-automated, single-ram stationary compactor that serves municipal transfer stations across Libya and North Africa. The unit must accept waste straight from collection trucks, guide it through a hydraulic tipping device into a hopper, then compress it into a detachable hook-lift container. Two identical containers will work in rotation so the site can keep running while one is being hauled away.

Key performance and build notes
• Continuous duty cycle with twin, interchangeable containers
• Conventional steel fabrication only, using processes commonly available in Tunisia and Libya (no exotic alloys or proprietary castings)
• Robust automation: PLC-controlled sequencing of tipping, ramming and container exchange
• Integrated safety: emergency stop buttons, safety interlocks and audible/visual alarms at all hazard points
• Weather-resistant design suitable for hot, dusty coastal and desert environments

Deliverables I expect
1. General arrangement, fabrication and detail drawings (DWG / STEP)
2. Hydraulic circuit, bill of materials and cylinder sizing calculations
3. Electrical & PLC I/O list, control logic diagram and HMI layout
4. Finite-element verification of main press frame and ram (SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS or equivalent)
5. Operating and maintenance manual draft, including safety documentation and risk assessment
6. Clear guidance for local workshops on welding procedures, tolerances and surface protection

All documents must be in English and use metric units. I am ready to clarify site dimensions, throughput targets and lift-truck interfaces once we begin.
